2015 Breakfast with Santa will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015, at the Gainesville Civic Center from 8:00am – 10:30am.  Tickets are just $5.00 to eat a pancake breakfast with sausage and a drink, see jolly old Santa, and enjoy some entertainment provided by local children’s choirs and Shriner’s clowns.

GFWC Gainesville Phoenix Woman’s Club celebrates The Star Spangled Banner

September 13, 2014, marks the 200th anniversary of the writing of our national anthem.  Francis Scott Key penned the poem that would later become our national anthem after a tough battle during the war of 1812.  Phoenix celebrated and invited the community to join in singing the national anthem.  Johnson High School Band and Gainesville High School’s Crimson Chorus joined the occasion.

Each club woman decorates a table to fill with her friends so each table has it’s own theme and unique decorations.  Seeing the creative ideas is a fun part of this annual event.

Check us out at our October meeting!

Each October for our regular meeting, we welcome the international students at Brenau University as our guests and this year, we also welcome you!  Come have a snack supper with us as we mingle with one another and the young women attending Brenau from around the world.  You will learn a little about their countries and about what Gainesville Phoenix Woman’s Club does.  All we ask is that you RSVP so that we make sure we have enough seats and delicious treats.

The meeting will be at the Fair Street Community Center building at 7:00pm.

RSVP with your name and any questions to carolinebrasch@braschins.com

Luncheon was a success!

Saturday, August 10, 2013 was the 5th annual For Her Glory Luncheon.  Over 100 women came together to celebrate the life of a friend and support her vision of helping women who are going through cancer maintain their dignity.  Our speaker, Mark Ballard, made us laugh until we cried, telling stories about “Granny.”  Afterward, he allowed us to auction the wreath he made to contribute to our charity.  I declare the luncheon a success!
